REPEAT
VARIATION #1
To make the dance easier, in addition to performing the dance at faster tempos, eliminate counts 17-24, and modify counts 13-16 as follows:
13 Right foot step forward - start 1/2 turn right
14 Left foot step forward - finish 1/2 turn right (facing LOD)
15&16 Take a small shuffle step backward right foot lead.
Zydaco Lady has a rhythm like that of a Cha-cha (see comment section). It has lots of movement in it and style is quite important in order to look good while performing the dance, as well as being able to perform it correctly and well. The slow steps should be long and pronounced and the quick steps should be made small, quick, and sharp. The dance is an isolation dance from the hips on down; excessive arm movements should be avoided and proper line dance styling should be adhered to at all times.
